How to Care for Your Sculpture Whimsy Hill Studio
| "Maestoso" is a sculpture of a Friesian stallion walking on a windy day. It's based on a photo I took of the first Friesian I met "in person" who had MASSES of feathers, mane and tail, and the slightest breeze set them all flying. "Maestoso" is a musical term (in Italian) that means "majestic" and has to do with tempo (the speed of a song). It just seems to fit this magnificent horse. "Maestoso" is available in two different patinas: black and a marbled black. Please specify which patina you want when ordering. Shown above is the black patina on the left, the marbled patina on the right. These photos show the marbled patina. Each bronze is handcrafted, so the finish will vary somewhat with each piece. |
