How to Care for Your Sculpture Whimsy Hill Studio
| "Harmony"
Bronze on a Nero (black with white matrix) marble and walnut base, mounted on a turntable. 1/7 lifesized warmblood with rider performing a canter pirouette, one of the most difficult movements in dressage. The hoofprints in the rolled sand path of the base show the horse and rider are doing a musical freestyle - he didn't stop square at X but started his pirouette there. One of these pieces is now on display in the US Dressage Federation's Hall of Fame at their new headquarters/educational facility at the Kentucky Horse Park. The horse is light to the aids, lifting into the first phase of the canter pirouette. This piece depicts no particular horse or rider -- it's just an image that I wanted to sculpt. 14" high x 10 1/2" long x 9 3/4" wide including the base.
Signed/Numbered Limited Edition of 18 $5000 plus shipping and handling. See Ordering Info page for details.
