Welcome to the 2008 Dancing Horse Farm Equine Art Show! This year's show features the work of the members of the Equine Art Guild. Next year, we plan to open the show to a wider field of entries. We have a beautiful array of art in store for you. If you'd like to see the show in person, please visit Dancing Horse Farm (DHF), 4080 Weisenberger Rd., Lebanon Ohio 45036, telephone 513-933-0343. If you go to the DHF website, you will find a link to maps with directions to the farm.
The show is now open (as of May 3, 2008) and will stay up until May 10, 2008, from 10 AM to 5 PM each day. The artwork is for sale, so bring your credit card or checkbook (cash is also welcome!) Following is a list of the winners of each division: Drawing: First Place, "Adjustments" by Linda Shantz; Second Place, "Spring Snow" by Barbara Widmann; Honorable Mention, "Strawberry in his Stall" by Barbara Widmann. Painting: First Place, "All Ears" by Alecia Underhill; Second Place, "Morning's First Light" by Barbara Widmann; Honorable Mention, "Blue Eye" by Carol Hendrix (I know the Prospectus said we'd place first to third place - for some reason, I ordered Honorable Mention ribbons instead of third place ribbons - my apologies!) And - drum roll, please!!! Best in Show: "Paddock Sun" by Alecia Underhill. Congrats to all of you! It was tough to choose which pieces to place where, they were all so wonderful!
